Everything in the world you see around you was initiated by the creative energy of your thoughts. Your thoughts are powerful catalysts in transforming any idea into physical reality. Personal power stems from the healthy self-esteem of your thoughts. By changing the inner aspects of your thinking, you can change the outer aspects of your life.
When you feel good about yourself and embrace your talents and resources, you have taken the first steps toward realizing your full potential. To attain personal power means you wish to achieve something, going from where you are now to where you want to be. It also requires fulfillment in which you feel extreme joy in the process. You feel enthusiasm in the pursuit of your goal but also gratitude and appreciation when the goal is achieved.
Who Are You?
No, Really Who Are You?
In order to release your personal power, you need to become better acquainted with yourself. The key to accessing your power is self-knowledge. Think about your life for a moment. In an ideal world, where would you choose to be in 10 – 20 – 30 years time?
Now contemplate what your life would look like if no “what ifs” and “buts” stood in your way.
What makes you laugh and claims your passion? What activities cause you to lose all sense of time? Unless you know the answer to these questions, you face the danger of drifting through life, driven by the wind that blows the strongest. We each have a purpose in life. It may seem a quiet not in the overall symphony of life, but without it, the music would lack its richness.
What Do You Want?
What do you Really want that you are willing to put all your passion into?
Accessing personal power starts with having a clear idea of what you want from life. Focus on what you want, not what you think others want for you. It may take a bit of work to differentiate the two.
When you know the extent of your ambition, you can set about defining how to achieve it. The universe can’t wait to dance with you, you just need to call the tune. Until you do, it cannot respond with what you want.
Become clear in your own mind and your energies will become focused, and the universe will respond to your call. The power to change anything in your life is born the moment you make a real decision.
Don’t Lose Your Personal Power to Negativity.
Are you whining about what you are not receiving in your life?
Too often you choose to focus on the disadvantages you believe have kept you from reaching your dreams. You recite the litany of reasons why your dreams are impossible.
At such times you do not own personal power, you are depleting your power. You become the victim when you could be the victor, the one who succeeds when presented with challenges.
Until you learn to recognize your habitual excuses, you will likely continue to avoid the challenges that bring you closer to your own power. To get what you want in your life, you have to figure out what stops you from getting it. Make a list of reasons you use not to do things. What do you tell yourself: I don’t have time, I can’t do it, it will cost too much?
Yes, it will cost too much but the cost will be that you have decided not to grab your personal power and become the person you could be. The cost will be that you do not live your life to the fullest, you do not realize the significance of your uniqueness and the special purpose or meaning of your life.
What is your purpose in life?
What are you doing to better yourself?
Adopt a definite purpose, and stick with it until it has time to become an all-consuming obsession. Your determination and persistence, along with commanding desire, is destined to bring you the opportunity and success you are seeking. Thought is energy and energy is power. Appreciate that you can be whatever you will yourself to be.
Mental strength is secured the same way physical strength is, by repeated practice.
Think about your personal power, perhaps with some doubt the first time, and then you think it again and again until it becomes automatic.
You not only think, you visualize attaining your goals, dreams and your very own power. You are right there, in your mind, watching and feeling yourself live your dreams. And it is immensely exciting seeing it all unfold in your mind and then in real life.
Unless you feel like you are growing, you will be unhappy and unfulfilled. We all have a deep need to go beyond ourselves and to live a life that serves the greater good. Growth equals life. Change is fertile. Learning, growing, changing and passion all help you discover and maintain your personal power.
